Clarence Stratton "A Winters Day in Maine NY 1967"
Mr. Stratton created a series of historical paintings of old Maine. The following is taken from the back of this painting. “A Winters Day in Maine, New York,” 1867, Maine and Lewis Street. “This painting was painted from my kitchen window. The house and Church and livery stable on the right hand corner are typical of barn construction 100 years ago. Not far from the truth.” Donated to PTA of Maine August 19.1967. Displayed at the Firemen’s Field Days in Maine Aug. 17, 18, 19 1967. Stratton Painting # 220, (48” X 20 ¾”).
